Desmanthus Virgatus, or more commonly know as Wild Tantan, is a subshrub forb/herb with yellow-green foliage and white flowers of the genus Desmanthus. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 2 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during indeterminate and is tolerant of shade. Desmanthus Virgatus or Wild Tantan's floral region is North America US Lower 48, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Florida and Texas.
