Chionanthus Virginicus, or more commonly know as White Fringetree, is a tree shrub with green foliage and white flowers of the genus Chionanthus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 35 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Chionanthus Virginicus or White Fringetree's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
