Tsuga Heterophylla, or more commonly know as Western Hemlock, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Tsuga. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 170 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is tolerant of shade. Tsuga Heterophylla or Western Hemlock's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
