Gleditsia Aquatica, or more commonly know as Water Locust, is a tree shrub with green foliage and green flowers of the genus Gleditsia. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 40 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring, blooms during mid summer and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Gleditsia Aquatica or Water Locust's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
