Ophioglossum Vulgatum, or more commonly know as Southern Adderstongue, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Ophioglossum. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Ophioglossum Vulgatum or Southern Adderstongue's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
