Quercus Imbricaria, or more commonly know as Shingle Oak, is a tree with dark green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Quercus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 45 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Quercus Imbricaria or Shingle Oak's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
