Prosopis Pubescens, or more commonly know as Screwbean Mesquite, is a tree shrub with green foliage of the genus Prosopis. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 25 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring summer fall, blooms during early spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Prosopis Pubescens or Screwbean Mesquite's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas and Utah.
