Delonix Regia, or more commonly know as Royal Poinciana, is a tree with green foliage and orange flowers of the genus Delonix. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 50 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is year round, blooms during spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Delonix Regia or Royal Poinciana's floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Florida and Hawaii.
