Chelone Obliqua, or more commonly know as Red Turtlehead, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Chelone. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Chelone Obliqua or Red Turtlehead's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
