Alnus Rubra, or more commonly know as Red Alder, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Alnus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 90 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring summer fall, blooms during early spring and is intolerant of shade. Alnus Rubra or Red Alder's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
