Lycium Pallidum, or more commonly know as Pale Desert-Thorn, is a shrub with green foliage and purple flowers of the genus Lycium. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 6 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is summer, blooms during early spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Lycium Pallidum or Pale Desert-Thorn's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
