Fouquieria Splendens, or more commonly know as Ocotillo, is a shrub with green foliage and red flowers of the genus Fouquieria. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 10 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and fall, blooms during indeterminate, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Fouquieria Splendens or Ocotillo's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas.
