Carex Nebrascensis, or more commonly know as Nebraska Sedge, is a graminoid with gray-green foliage and green flowers of the genus Carex. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 3 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is intolerant of shade. Carex Nebrascensis or Nebraska Sedge's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
