Lodgepole Pine (Pinus contorta)

Pinus Contorta, or more commonly know as Lodgepole Pine, is a tree with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Pinus. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 99 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid summer and is intolerant of shade. Pinus Contorta or Lodgepole Pine's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
