Juniperus Virginiana, or more commonly know as Eastern Redcedar, is a tree with green foliage and green flowers of the genus Juniperus. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 50 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Juniperus Virginiana or Eastern Redcedar's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
