Tsuga Canadensis, or more commonly know as Eastern Hemlock, is a tree with dark green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Tsuga. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 105 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is tolerant of shade. Tsuga Canadensis or Eastern Hemlock's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
