Pennisetum Setaceum, or more commonly know as Crimson Fountaingrass, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Pennisetum. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 3.5 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is summer, blooms during mid summer and is intolerant of shade. Pennisetum Setaceum or Crimson Fountaingrass's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Hawaii, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oregon and Tennessee.
