Juniperus Horizontalis, or more commonly know as Creeping Juniper, is a subshrub with green foliage of the genus Juniperus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 4 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is intolerant of shade. Juniperus Horizontalis or Creeping Juniper's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, Connecticut, Iowa, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
