Imperata Cylindrica, or more commonly know as Cogongrass, is a graminoid of the genus Imperata. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Imperata Cylindrica or Cogongrass's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
