Quercus Muehlenbergii, or more commonly know as Chinkapin Oak, is a tree with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Quercus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 80 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Quercus Muehlenbergii or Chinkapin Oak's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
