Magnolia Soulangiana, or more commonly know as Chinese Magnolia, is a shrub tree with dark green foliage and purple flowers of the genus Magnolia. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 30 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring, blooms during early spring and is intolerant of shade. Magnolia Soulangiana or Chinese Magnolia's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
