Bromus Carinatus, or more commonly know as California Brome, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Bromus. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 4 feet at maturity. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early spring and is intolerant of shade. Bromus Carinatus or California Brome's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of California, Oregon and Washington.
