Sabal Palmetto, or more commonly know as Cabbage Palmetto, is a tree with gray-green foliage and white flowers of the genus Sabal. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 90 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during summer, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Sabal Palmetto or Cabbage Palmetto's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.
