Fraxinus Nigra, or more commonly know as Black Ash, is a tree with green foliage and white flowers of the genus Fraxinus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 80 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early spring and is intolerant of shade. Fraxinus Nigra or Black Ash's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
