Phleum Alpinum, or more commonly know as Alpine Timothy, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Phleum. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 1.4 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Phleum Alpinum or Alpine Timothy's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
