Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. Gentianella Quinquefolia or Agueweed's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
