Thuja Plicata, or more commonly know as Western Redcedar, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Thuja. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 150 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Thuja Plicata or Western Redcedar's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
