Subalpine Fir (Abies Lasiocarpa)
Abies Lasiocarpa, or more commonly know as Subalpine Fir, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Abies. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 100 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is tolerant of shade. Abies Lasiocarpa or Subalpine Fir‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
