Spinacia Oleracea, or more commonly know as Spinach, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Spinacia. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. Spinacia Oleracea or Spinach's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
