Smooth Azalea (Rhododendron Arborescens)
Rhododendron Arborescens, or more commonly know as Smooth Azalea, is a shrub with dark green foliage and white flowers of the genus Rhododendron. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 18 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is tolerant of shade. Rhododendron Arborescens or Smooth Azalea‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
