Carex Straminiformis, or more commonly know as Shasta Sedge, is a graminoid of the genus Carex. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Carex Straminiformis or Shasta Sedge's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
