Senna Occidentalis, or more commonly know as Septicweed, is a forb/herb subshrub of the genus Senna. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. Senna Occidentalis or Septicweed‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
