Smilax Bona-Nox, or more commonly know as Saw Greenbrier, is a shrub vine with green foliage and green flowers of the genus Smilax. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 4 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during spring, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Smilax Bona-Nox or Saw Greenbrier's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
