Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera)
Nelumbo Nucifera, or more commonly know as Sacred Lotus, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Nelumbo. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Nelumbo Nucifera or Sacred Lotus‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee.
