Urochloa Mutica, or more commonly know as Para Grass, is a graminoid with green foliage and purple flowers of the genus Urochloa. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 3 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is year round, blooms during indeterminate and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Urochloa Mutica or Para Grass's floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Oregon, South Carolina and Texas.
