Betula Papyrifera, or more commonly know as Paper Birch, is a tree with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Betula. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 70 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is intolerant of shade. Betula Papyrifera or Paper Birch's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
