Quercus Rubra, or more commonly know as Northern Red Oak, is a tree with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Quercus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 100 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is somewhat tolerant of shade. Quercus Rubra or Northern Red Oak's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
