Urochloa Maxima, or more commonly know as Guineagrass, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Urochloa. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 5 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is summer and fall, blooms during mid summer and is intolerant of shade. Urochloa Maxima or Guineagrass's floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
