Field Brome (Bromus Arvensis)
Bromus Arvensis, or more commonly know as Field Brome, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Bromus. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 3 feet at maturity. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. It’s active growth period is fall winter and spring, blooms during mid spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Bromus Arvensis or Field Brome‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
