Zamia Pumila, or more commonly know as Coontie, is a subshrub of the genus Zamia. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Zamia Pumila or Coontie's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Puerto Rico, specifically in the states of Florida and Georgia.
