Althaea Officinalis, or more commonly know as Common Marshmallow, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Althaea. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Althaea Officinalis or Common Marshmallow's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
