Anchusa Officinalis, or more commonly know as Common Bugloss, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Anchusa. Its duration is biennial or bi-annual which means it can grow or bloom twice, in the first year and the following year. Anchusa Officinalis or Common Bugloss's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
