Amelanchier Obovalis, or more commonly know as Coastal Serviceberry, is a shrub with dark green foliage and white flowers of the genus Amelanchier. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 10 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring, blooms during early spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Amelanchier Obovalis or Coastal Serviceberry's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
