Coastal Sage Scrub Oak (Quercus Dumosa)
Quercus Dumosa, or more commonly know as Coastal Sage Scrub Oak, is a tree shrub with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Quercus. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 9 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring, blooms during early spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Quercus Dumosa or Coastal Sage Scrub Oak‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the state of California.
