Prunus Maritima, or more commonly know as Beach Plum, is a shrub with green foliage and white flowers of the genus Prunus. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 12 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is intolerant of shade. Prunus Maritima or Beach Plum's floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
