Annual Rabbitsfoot Grass (Polypogon Monspeliensis)
Polypogon Monspeliensis, or more commonly know as Annual Rabbitsfoot Grass, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Polypogon. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 1.7 feet at maturity. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is intolerant of shade. Polypogon Monspeliensis or Annual Rabbitsfoot Grass‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, Alaska and Hawaii, specifically in the states of Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
