Agave Americana, or more commonly know as American Century Plant, is a subshrub shrub forb/herb with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Agave. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 6 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It's active growth period is spring summer fall, blooms during indeterminate, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Agave Americana or American Century Plant's floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana and Texas.
